Don’t know how to use your oven?  Spent heaps of money on all those appliances but can’t even work out how to use the main oven let alone your steam oven or combi steam oven?

If you live in Sydney I can help you!  I will come to your home  and give you an overview demonstration class on how to use your products. Group session is maximum two appliances for one event, plus I will prepare you a delicious lunch using those appliances!

Invite some of your friends and make a day of it.  Everyone learns and retains more information when you’re in your own home.  You can go to a manufacturers’ class if they run one, but most people forget what they have learnt by the time they get home.

Class will include a light lunch with finger food to start, main course and a dessert.  Session time is usually 3-4 hours. Maximum people in one event is four.  Or, I can tailor a one-on-one session that will suit you and your appliance/s so you get individual attention.  This type of class is more popular and is 3 hours and we cook two different dishes that you can select.

So if you want to have a full on personal session or fun with your friends while have a great lunch and learn how to use your new appliances all at the same time, then contact me for a price and full details.  Please note I do not do all Combi Steamer or Steam oven brands or models.

Dear Trudy

Rob, Catherine, Mark and I would like to sincerely thank you for helping us to understand and use our appliances better and more importantly to their intended potential. Modern appliances can be very daunting because there are so many features to get your head around. We appreciated your explicit instructions and your ability to calmly answer our many questions while preparing and organising several different recipes for us to try. We are keen to try too replicate the dishes you cooked for us today as they were all sensational. The Spiced Roast Chicken using the Auto Roast and Moisture Plus features was the tenderest chicken we’ve ever eaten. In fact all your dishes were superb and we certainly appreciated your pre preparation and the final preparations which we witnessed in our kitchen. I’m looking forward to a piece of Raspberry Frangipane Tart tonight with a cuppa. I don’t think I could eat another thing after the delicious three course meal that you prepared for us in order to show us which features of our oven and microwave to use for each of your well chosen recipes. We appreciated all the extra little tips that an experienced home economist such as yourself has that we would never have picked up from just reading our manuals.
We would be happy to recommend Cookwise to anyone who wants to understand and use their appliances more confidently (and have good time in the process). We had a great day.
Thanks so much Trudy, all the best

Hi Trudy, What an excellent session. I’ve just had a 3 hr one- on- one class with Trudy to try and understand and use my combi steam oven, which sad to say has sat pretty well unused for nearly 6 years!! Many thanks Trudy. It has really got me started on using this terrific oven, and your helpful tips and instructions as we went along were great. So grateful too for the extra tips on my other ovens. I had been to quite a few courses with Miele but this one on one lesson certainly made all the difference. Very well worth it, and the time went so quickly. Would recommend a lesson with Trudy to anyone who has one of these amazing appliances. And will be looking forward to trying out the many delicious Cookwise recipes. Thanks again Trudy. Much appreciated.

Comment: Hi Trudy,
Thank you for coming to our home and showing us how to use these amazing appliances.
Your knowledge of the items and tips really did make it such a worthwhile activity.
I would recommend a class to anyone that has invested in quality appliances.
My family also thoroughly enjoyed eating all the left overs and I haven’t stopped cooking since you left!
Thank you for your time and your effort – it was greatly appreciated and we look forward to having you in our kitchen again soon!

Comment: I’ve just had a lovely morning with Trudy teaching me how to use my steam oven. I’m ashamed to say I’ve had it 3 years and used it twice. I was determined this year and couldn’t believe when Trudy offered her in home cooking classes. Prior to her visit Trudy had researched my Combi (Electrolux) and got started straight away. We cooked bread rolls, an amazing quinoa salad and roasted some chicken. I follow Trudy’s blog as she has great recipes but I literally didn’t know where to start. Great value for money given I’ve had an expensive appliance sat unused for
all this time. Niçoise salad is next ! Thank you so much, Nicola

Comment: I have just had the best cooking lesson ever. Trudy came to my home and showed me how to get the most out of my new Miele M Touch Oven and my Combination Microwave/Oven. Although I have done and enjoyed a couple of the courses at Miele, I found the one on one lesson so much more useful. We cooked an eye fillet, a passion fruit soufflé, and a raspberry frangipane tart. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend a lesson with Trudy.

Comment: Had Trudy come to my house to share her knowledge of steam combi ovens.
We had a group of 6 watching and eating, and all learnt so much about how to get more out of our ovens. The meal Trudy cooked was great, I’ll be doing the dishes again, and picked up so many hints along the way.
Thanks Trudy, it was definitely a worthwhile experience and I would recommend it to any steam oven owner.

Comment: Hi Trudy
You made our cooking session both thoroughly informative and great fun. Thank you!

I now feel much more confident about tackling some of my favourite recipes using the SMEG steam combo because I have a much better idea of how to adjust cooking times. I also feel I can try to overcome some of the technical issues, like having to empty the water reservoir when only half way through multi-stage cooking!

I think the key is going to be using steam or steam/combi for everything possible that I would automatically do on the cooktop or in the conventional oven. Also, thinking and planning ahead so that I can steam different things together and save time.

Thanks again, and looking forward to trying many more of the delicious, healthy Cookwise recipes!

Susan
